Team Leader
A new 24 hour Mental Health Service is coming to Stockport through partnership of Stockport CCG & Making Space.
With the current statistics telling us that 1 in 4 people will suffer with Mental Health, getting the right support in the right place at the right time is vital.
The Safe Haven Crisis Centre is a much-needed service opening in Stockport
in spring 2020.
As Team Leader you will deputise for the Safe Haven Manager, and to help lead the delivery of an effective, safe and therapeutic Safe Haven service in Stockport for people at risk of/experiencing a mental health crisis and their families/carer
Salary:
£11.04 per hour
Hours:
2 x 20-25 hour contracts available. The service will operate from 8.30am-9pm 7 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Safe Haven Manager with the successful development of this new service, ensuring it fully meets the requirement of the service specification and our commissioner expectations.
- Provide leadership and management for the Safe Haven team of Recovery Workers, Peer Support Workers and Volunteers.
- Continuously identify the training and development needs of the team.
- Lead on the screening, triage and initial assessment and risk assessment process, ensuring that all presentations to the Safe Haven.
- Work closely with key partners to ensure the most appropriate response and service pathway.
- Ensure that meaningful co-production is at the heart of the continued design, delivery and development of this Safe Haven service.
- Facilitate and sustain a range of Peer support led interventions.
- Collect all required data using the agreed systems/formats, and ensure Recovery Workers are also adhering to the recording requirements.
- Maintain a working knowledge of developments in best practice, policies and legislation in relevant areas of mental health.
- To work alongside the Safe Haven Manager to co-ordinating staff deployment and service operating hours in response to demand and available resources, ensuring service continuity 7 days per week
About You:

A willingness to work towards
a relevant professional qualification such as; RMN, Social Worker, OT, PWP
- Significant experience of working in a mental health service provision
- Have a positive outlook on life and a passion to care for others
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in the written form
- Ability to manage others, plan and review their needs
- Demonstrate creativity and original thinking, whilst developing practical solutions to problems
- Ability to work effectively within a business planning and performance management environment.
- Motivated to work towards creating a safe, open and trusting environment.
- Take pride in your work, exceptional attention to detail and reliability are essential.
- Be creative, resourceful with the ability to think out of the box
