Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Housing Officer to join Making Space, a not-for-profit care provider, covering 3 Supported Living services across Lincolnshire. These services are located in North Hykeham, Spalding and Bourne.
Reporting to the Regional Head of Operations, the Housing Officer will work closely with the Registered Care
Managers within Lincolnshire to provide an effective customer focused tenancy support service to residents. As the role is new to the business, regular reviews will occur and focus on the implementation of the systems and role progression.
The Housing Officer role is home based and involves flexible working.
Salary: GBP 18,915 per annum
Hours: 37.5 per week
The Role:
* Plan budgets with clients to ensure rent is prioritised and to support with benefit applications
* Manage complaints relating to the property from clients and other community members
* Ensure properties comply with required legislation
* Ensure all checks/services and maintenance is carried out
* Contribute to the review and implementation of policy and procedures
Applicants are expected to travel between the 3 Supported Living services based in Lincoln, Spalding and Bourne using a mode of transport. The mileage rate is 35p per mile.
About You:
* Certificate and Diploma in Housing is desirable but not essential
* Experience of managing tenancy agreements
* Enthusiastic and approachable with a larger than life personality.
* Motivated to work towards creating a safe, open and trusting environment
* Adaptable and versatile be able to work alone and within a team
* Take pride in your work, exceptional attention to detail and reliability are essential.
