Safe Haven Service Manager – Mental Health
A new 24 hour Mental Health Service is coming to Stockport through partnership of Stockport CCG & Making Space.
With the current statistics telling us that 1 in 4 people will suffer with Mental Health, getting the right support in the right place at the right time is vital.
The Safe Haven Crisis Centre is a much-needed
service opening in Stockport in spring 2020.
This challenging and exciting new service based in the centre of Stockport, requires a strong and vibrant leader. Known as the Safe Haven Service Manager, you will be joining Making Space, a national charity that provides Mental Health & social care services throughout England.
As the Safe Haven Service Manager, you will set up and lead the delivery of effective and therapeutic care at the Safe Haven service for the people and families within Stockport, who feel they are at risk or actually experiencing a mental health crisis.
Salary:
£29, 722 per annum
Hours:
37.5 per week
The service will be available upon demand and will operate 8.30am-9pm, 7 days a week, with an experienced leader on duty at all times. Therefore, in addition to the Manager role two Team leader roles will form part of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will lead on the successful development of this new service, ensuring it meets the requirement of the service specification and our commissioner expectations.
- Provide leadership and management for the Safe Haven team that includes Team Leaders, Recovery Workers, Peer Support Workers and Volunteers.
- Continuously identify the training and development needs of the team, particularly in reference to the potentially diverse and complex needs of people.
- Establish and maintain a range of service-specific protocols and processes which will underpin the delivery of a safe and robust service.
- Lead on the screening, triage and initial assessment and risk assessment process
- Develop and maintain strong relationships and networks across Stockport so that the service can maximise prevention and early intervention.
- Ensure that meaningful co-production is at the heart of the continued design, delivery and development of this Safe Haven service.
- Work closely with our partner Mental Health Matters in delivering a cohesive physical Safe Haven and 24/7 crisis helpline.
About You:
- Relevant professional qualification such as; RMN, Social Worker, OT, PWP
- Evidence of leadership or management training with significant experience of working in a person centred mental health service provision
- Demonstrate you are able to develop and maintain constructive relationships with professionals, whilst managing conflicting priorities,
- Understand their role and respect service users’ perspectives and choices
- Take pride in your work, with exceptional attention to detail, whilst being creative, resourceful and the ability to think out of the box
